Finuchem is created by Jean-Pierre Gorgé (it becomes Groupe Gorgé in 2009).
1992
Acquisition of ECA (Etude et Construction Aéronautique), a specialist in naval robotics since 1936.
1998
IPO of Groupe Gorgé on the secondary market of the Paris stock exchange.
2004
IPO of ECA on the secondary market of the Paris stock exchange.
2005
Raphaël Gorgé joins the Group and is appointed Deputy CEO. He initiates a strategic pivot of the Group toward high-tech sectors.
2008
Raphaël Gorgé is appointed Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Gorgé.
2009
The Group diversifies into safety and protection of people and property with the acquisition of Baumert, specialist in technical doors for sensitive environments, and CLF-Satrem, specialist in active fire protection (sprinklers).
2011
Raphaël Gorgé is appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Gorgé.
2012
The Group moves into engineering and risk prevention consulting with the acquisition of Seres Technologies.
2013
The Group moves into 3D printing with the buyout of Prodways Technologies (formerly Phidias Technologies), specialist in 3D printers based on DLP MOVINGLight technology.
2014
The Group wins the Prix de l’Audace Créatrice (Audacity and Creativity Prize) presented by the French President.
2015
The Group steps up development of its 3D printing division with €10 million fundraising from the Fimalac group and acquisitions of Initial, France’s leading maker of 3D printing parts, Norge System, specialist in powder sintering technology and Exeltec, supplier of plastic powders for additive manufacturing.
The Group welcomes French Minister of the Economy, Emmanuel Macron on a visit to its Prodways subsidiary.
2016
The Group adds expertise to its Drones & Systems division with the acquisition of space specialist ELTA and naval design and engineering firm Mauric.
2017
Groupe Gorgé initiate the initial public offering of its 3D printing division Prodways Group on Euronext Paris to accelerate development.
The Group strengthens its 3D printing offer buying Avenao, distributor of Dassault Systèmes’ Solidworks CAD software and Interson-Protac, specialist in hearing aid eartips and customised hearing protectors.
2018
The Group acquires American company Solidscape, specialist in 3D printing machines for precision casting applications with a focus on the jewellery market.
2019
In the 3D printing division, Prodways Group acquires Surdifuse-L’Embout Français, a major player in custom earmoulds, some of which are 3D printed.
ECA Group, in tandem with Naval Group, wins a landmark €2 billion contract to supply twelve minesweepers to the Belgian and Dutch navies. ECA Group’s share of the contract is around €450 million, for supplying ten drone systems to equip the ships.
2020
Groupe Gorgé launches StedY, a new generation engineering and technologies consultancy solution.
Groupe Gorgé merges its subsidiary ECA Group.
